Hi, I'm Kaitlyn!

Founder and sole maker behind The Pinned Prairie. I’ve been sewing since I was 11, spending every summer in sewing classes until I graduated high school. While I design wedding veils for a living, quilting has become a passion of mine in recent years.

In 2025, I officially launched The Pinned Prairie, a baby and toddler brand specializing in quilted items handmade in my private studio space located in Surprise, Arizona. Generations of women in my family used this timeless binding technique for their quilts. I was determined to carry on the tradition, but I was too young to learn directly from my grandma and great-grandma. With the help of my mom and a few online tutorials, I figured out how to remade the classic prairie point binding.

I recently began offering my quilts and baby toys as a way to earn extra income to help cover ongoing out-of-pocket fertility treatment costs. When you purchase from me, you’re not just buying a quilt. Every order helps bring my husband and me one step closer to the day we get to wrap our own miracle babies in the same handmade quilts I create for others.

Whether it’s your baby’s first quilt, a grandmother’s cherished gift, a snuggly lovey, or a keepsake toy, each piece is handmade with love and meant to be treasured for years to come.
